Chambers of the Night Queen (D1)
The Chambers of the Night Queen served as the innermost shrine to Ereshkigal, Queen of the Dead. After Ereshkigal’s divine core was captured by Phetra and her conspirators the Chambers were converted into a torture chamber where Marzan was held for thousands of years. Built of solid black granite and arranged with a number of towering adamantine pillars, the Chambers remains the last bastion of safety in the desecrated Palace of Ganzir now that the Void has broken free. Evidence of Phetra’s use of the chamber of the millennia still lingers as Ereshkigal and her champions never had an opportunity to convert it back into a proper shrine. Rather, it remains a relic of a tortured age that heralded in destruction. A burned outline of a circular portal is impressed into the back wall of granite that is barely visible. It is clear evidence of a rift in spacetime that was used by Falnir’s assassin to escape the Underworld.
