I don't think kishimoto has explained this yet so we all deem it an asspull. but for a seconds lets pretend this is not an asspull and lets try to come up with an explanation for this.


scan #1: we have madara being revived. the top three panels shows his eyes disappearing due to the fact he left his real eyes behind. sasuke then sub subsequently hits him with amaterasu. should be a kill right? well as we look at the last panel, he does not seem phased.

Then it seems he cancels the amaterasu.

The explanation hashirama gives is he can absorb ninjutsu as shown in the page before the last scan

Can you logically give me a reason as to why he was able to absorb amaterasu with no rinnegan? can you come up with your best reason using naruto logic to come up with a good reason or will you asspull like kishimoto.

Yeah i been thinking of a possible way to logically defend it but i cant. atleast i can say he used susanoo with no eyes and my explanation is he is an uchiha with senju cells so i can kinda explain that asspull there, but even thats a longshot blindfolded in the dark....but this one is beyond me.

This is the best i can do : After getting full Sage Mode from Hashi he became physically Rikudoo and could use Preta path as an ability of the body similar to how Naruto has perfect sage mode body.

Best i can think off is madara syncing his chakra with amaterasu to deny harmful effect sorta when sasuke fused enton with FRS.
In doing so ama would just burn off as it would no longer be affecting madara.

There's like a really small fire on his skin, he could just heal himself with Hashirama Sage Mode chakra.

Btw, it's not like Amaterasu will burn forever, otherwise Naruto world would be gone already from that Itachi x Sasuke fight

Madara has the passive ability to absorb chakra. In that same chapter he absorbs hashirama's sage chakra by touching him. in addition he removes the armor so it was much for him to remove
