Except that he retained a constant speed in all of those fights. When he fought Haku, it was over quickly so it's hard to examine that. But throughout the whole fight with Neji, his speed remained at that heightened pinnacle which Neji kept remarking on. When he fought Sasuke, his speed remained the at that same heightened pinnacle, even after Sasuke got his 3rd tomoe; the only difference was that now with his new Sharingan, Naruto was susceptible to raping.

Ironically however, it's quite the opposite of what you said. His new speed isn't consistent and actually served for the purpose of "dodging a punch". We do not see him speed-blitzing people at Raikage's speed level now do we?

I doubt it's your memory, it's more so the inconsistency with the plot. You saying the speed boost is 'random' isn't incorrect, it's just your way of seeing things, which others may or may not agree with.

I think the chakra mode is a completely random power-up.

Not chakra mode itself but the abilities it grants the user while in that form, the one I'm talking about is the godly speed. The thing is was it ever implied that the Kyuubi gave its host a large speed boost. In the past Naruto has had slight speed boosts given to him but never anything spectacular.
No one thought incredible speed would become a factor in Naruto's arsenal did they. xd

I think that speed boost was just random to give Naruto a new aspect to his fighting.

So why with chakra mode does Naruto gains godly speed ? and how ?

No your wrong. Kurama himself is very fast. Hes been showing his speed when he took over narutos body. During the pain figt when he went six tails he was basically a blur to nagato. So yes kurama does grant naruto speed powers because he himself is fast

maybe naruto gets the godly speed when he uses chakra mode because hes got a ton of it (courtesy to the kyuubi) and over the 3 years of training he had with jiraya boosted his chakra control and fighting skills a lot.

Just kdding. I guess those powerups do increase your movement, cos chakra equals stamina, and stamina boosts your movements

Apparently, Chakra mode is a special stage that grants the users certain abilities that leads up to , like speed as you mentioned, and also extreme defenses. We saw 4 tails naruto take a hit to the chest with kusanagi and 6 tails naruto tanking it's own TBB with no damage.

I wouldn't say that emmence speed is random because all the other jinchuriki potentially posses the same ability. point in fact:

look at the naruto vs sasuke battle....and tell me that it was never shown before that kuramas chakra grants great speed...

the tailed cloak was never pure kurama chakra(as his current kyubi chakra mode is) it was the result of kurama chakra LEAKING through the seal, and mixing with narutos chakra. The more kurama chakra that leaked out, the more influence kurama gained on naruto...after the 4th tail of chakra leaked out, the influence was to strong....

so with his current chakra mode requireing him to shelve his own chakra, he gains access to further speed, that isnt limited, because there is a lot more of kurama chakra.....and beast mode is even quicker because it gives naruto FULL access to all of kuramas chakra, and mixs it with his own(i beileve)


basically the speed boost was not out of nowhere

You guys are totally wrong it was hinted before naruto could control the power.naruto( one tail) vs sasuke they was a speed boost,naruto(one tail) vs Neji they was a speed boost if naruto on one tail(+in cloak naruto only have lil of kurama's chakra) had a speed boost it's logic naruto with the whole kurama's power has a OP speed boost

Naruto's burst of Kurama's chakra did give him a burst of speed but they also gave him a burst of strength, endurance, reactions and healing but none of that was drastically increased. There is a massive leap in speed from his 1-tailed form and chakra mode Naruto which is astounding. To be able to outspeed A is just a monumental feat compared to his small speed boosts with 1-tail.
