This is just a thread to clear many things up that you may or may not have known. Here is some quick math before anything is explained:
Ashura + Indra = Hagoromo
Hagoromo = Rinnegan
Naruto = Ashura(himself) + Ashura(HagoromoHalf) + Tailed Beasts
Madara = Indra(himself) + Ashura(Hashirama)
Madara = Hagoromo
Madara = Rinnegan
Sasuke = Indra(himself) + Indra(HagoromoHalf) + Ashura(Hashirama)
Sasuke = Indra(himself) + Hagoromo(Hashirama + HagoromoHalf)
Sasuke = Indra(himself) + Rinnegan
Sasuke = 6-tomoe Rinnegan
Host Madara = Indra(himself) + Ashura(Hashirama) + Tailed Beasts
Host Madara = Hagoromo + Tailed Beasts
Host Madara = Rinnegan + Tailed Beasts
Host Madara = 9-tomoe Rinnegan

How To Awaken The Rinnegan:
The Rinnegan is the strongest eye to exist as of now. It has been explained that the chakra of Hagoromo awakens it. That also goes without saying, that a mixture of Indra and Ashura's chakra also creates such a combination. Whoah there, buddy!? Naruto shared his chakra with Sasuke in the war, which resulted in nothing? This is completely true. The reason for this is because it is not enough to just share the chakra, as that doesn't create a new mixture of the two's; only storing them as different signatures of chakra. If this was the case, Zetsu's job would not have been as difficult as it was. Madara knew what to do. He knew that injecting Ashura's reincarnate's DNA inside of himself would produce the Rinnegan. Why is this? To simply put it, his new body after modification would produce a new chakra. One that contains the attributes of both Indra and Ashura, thus practically producing chakra near Hagoromo's.

Why Could Sasuke Meet Hagoromo?
It wasn't because he was Indra's reincarnation. As explained by himself, to summon him, you must have both a reincarnation's chakra, and Kurama's. Sasuke received some of Kurama's chakra from Naruto in the war. It was noted that even after the cloaks disappeared, his chakra still remained, even if not that much.

Why Can Madara Use Susano'o Without Eyes?
This question is easily answered. It's not because he mastered it's usage or anything of the sorts. The thing is, even Itachi had produced the technique when blind. The secret behind this, is how Tobirama explained the biology of the Sharingan. The brain produces special chakra to change into the Mangekyou Sharingan or to upgrade the eye. Due to the Susano'o not requiring eye contact, it is possible to create one since the special chakra doesn't necessarily need to access the eyes.
