I was just wondering recently if there was any way to make Elemental ninjutsu relevant with there being chakra avatars and ninjutsu absorption. For stuff like water, earth, and fire, I just can't see it having any real effect anymore.
The only thing I could think of is the giant chakra avatars using large scale ninjutsu, like when Sasuke used chidori with his Susanoo, but then fights would just consist of giant humanoids fighting similarly to normal ninja battles on a larger scale, then when the user's chakra runs out and the avatars crumble it just becomes a regular scale battle.
I could see lightning still being relevant because to make lightning more potent you just have to increase the concentration of chakra, but fire can't really be improved in quality past a certain point. Water is useless because it's too slow and this is the same thing with Earth.
The last thing I wanted to note is that stuff like chakra cloaks and chakra avatars remove the defensive use of water ninjutsu and earth ninjutsu, making things like the water wall, earth spear, and earth wall useless.
So I was just wondering if there was any way that future battles on a larger, EOS scale could be made to have more variety, like the earlier fights in the series did. I'm sort of getting tired of seeing giant humanoids all the time.
