Yes, 4kids butcher things, same with children oriented programs. For the most part subbed can still be censored as when people watch subbed it generally a TV stream from Japan that is subbed which generally has some censoring (not always, depending on details of it). Home Video releases are really the only true uncensored material. So, you can watch dubbed uncensored especially if you were to use an butchered dub audio and sync it to a raw episode. But, if you were to watch a home video release with the dub track it in most cases isn't censored. 4Kids the obvious exception. Same said for watching true uncensored. Most home video release (obviously not in Japan) come with the Japanese track, Native subs, Native Dub, etc.
