His Solar Kamehemha which he used against Gohan was a Solar System buster. There wasn't any explosion cus it was a beam struggle which Gohan won.

This was just a pic to give you the idea lol. That pic shows that Kamehameha would expand and envelope over the celestial body made contact with and this depends on the user too. Cell's Kamehameha is stated to solar system bust meaning the wave would cover up all the celestrail bodies in the solar system thus resulting the explosion.

Actually it didn't destroy the Earth cus Gohan won the beam struggle therefore he could control the collateral damage of the beam. Z fighters can control the trajectory properties of their Ki. They can control the collateral damage an attack causes. Remember when Trunks said that Vegeta's final flash would destroy the Earth? That's when Vegeta demonstrated immense Ki control when he made wave small at the last moment.

Although I agree that there should've been negative effects in the planet but we shouldn't argue on that cus according to physics no one can travel faster than light, yet comic characters and other anime chars do it all the time. Even if it was possible, doing that would hold negative effects in the entire planet due to relativity. This is the least of inconsistencies with RL physics that fiction like DBZ or even comics present.
