would of been better if goku wasnt aware of gohans ssj2 potential. and just got killed fighting to his last for gohan to snap into ssj2. since they went ahead and killed him.
i know the whole moment was to calm his ego which in the long run shun him from continuing training and fighting, away from the future gohan image. yes he surpassed future gohan as a kid but still. he lost where it counts.
true he locked down videl, daughter of hercule, a well designed character, with a good development better than anything naruto except maybe shikamaru and temari, tsunade and jiraiya, minato and kushina, sasuke and sakura & later had Pan who already has an iconic (regardless of how bad GT was) filler adventure. Shes just as iconic in Super already surpassing her father and future trunks as a baby.
