I still think Haku and Zabuza could take this, but Zabuza might not solo considering he's up against 3 ninja who are at least High Chuunin level IMO, people who can likely pressure Gaara who was stated to be far above most Chuunin.

No, Gai opened the gates, then striked at the bijuus, at the same time Kakashi did. The bold is stupid since it's not the same. Part 1 gennins are almost adults on part 2, while part 1 Kakashi is already 3o and is 33 on part 2. They don't improve on the same scale. Kakashi was hyped to be fast even on part 1.

That again is not zabuza out speeding him, Not only by kakashi's own words he cannot use his sharingan perfectly, kakashi's focus is on the unsually heavy water and not zabuza himself. Kakashi took his eye off the ball and got caught off guard, Thats all it was.

-Kakashi's kunai was also able to handle Hidan's schyte. Kakashi's skills with kunai should not be underrated, unless you say Hidan is not good at CQC.
-Since we're talking about speed here, focus on the main subject. I pointed that out since if Kakashi was faster than Zabuza, and adding the fact that he has a sharingan, and sueperior striking speed and reaction speed granted by sharingan pre-cog, then Kakashi would have owned him on CQC.

Because he was facing an opponent who was on his same tier on speed, and wielded a big sword, he couldn't end it with a physical attack.

Same again, when Zabuza stopped hiding in the mist, Kakashi gets a clear vision of him. Then, he gets outspeeded on CQC and couldn't even dodge his kick, and then, he gets outspeeded movement wise when Zabuza covers a big distance before Kakashi can even stand up.

1- It was KM Naruto
2- I clearly said Kakashi was keeping up with gated Gai, not that he's equally fast. And then, it's clearly showed that they were both facing v2 jins by themselves, and Kakashi was not left behind, even without the gates.
3- So with your example, Sasuke can keep up with KM Naruto? Yes, obviously. He was tagging Juubito.
