I started the anime last week and after watching around 20 episodes a day, I finally caught up!
I absolutely loved the series from start to finish. What really did it for me was the feels. Before watching this series, I re-adjusted my anime viewing mood because I didnt know what to expect. FT is very different from Naruto. Naruto is focused more on the action and build up whereas Fairy Tail focuses more on the daily lives of the main characters. Therefore, Naruto is more action packed and serious but with unique meanings, while Fairy Tail has a very cheerful and relaxing atmosphere.
The reason I love FT soo much is not because of the fighting sequences (though they are pretty badass and hyped, but a little repetitive) but because of how personal the story can get with a character. It feels like the main characters in FT is someone that you can meet in real life and become close friends with. They seem like tangible people, with their own flaws and resolve. This, in conjunction with the amazing OSTs, creates many unforgettable moments.
Though this series may lack in character development and contain many repetitive fight sequences, the personalities of each character make up for these blunders. The entire FT journey thus far has been very enjoyable, to say the least. Can't wait for more episodes!
8.5/10 !
