I was inspired by this by driving down the road and seeing a weeping will out near the most beautiful field, and the mountains that resembled giant rocks in the background <3
My ears are searching
My heart is pounding
As my eyes recap the moment
The words you said sounded like honey
The way you touched me felt like a rush of wind on a piping hot day
The look in your eyes swept me away
Were you seeking for a way to make me red?
Could you hear the pounding thump of my heart?
Did you mean the words you said?
Frozen in place by shock
Afraid to close me eyes
Will it all be a dream?
The carnation you gave me
Locked firmly in my hands
With the wind whipping my hair
The weeping willow swung above
I wonder just how much it weeps?
Can it cry tears of joy as well?
I decide to just sit there
Remembering the way everything felt
As the red and white flower is held to my chest.
**Side Note: Carnations are my favorite flower and weeping willows are my favorite tree **
