Staff members close threads when they are problematic, need to close etc. Members can't open them when threads get closed.

Threads are closed by moderators when they are made without a goal or there is a lot of nonsense being said in the replies.
Premiums however, can close their own threads when they want to.
It would be stupid if you could open a closed thread as it is closed with a purpose; Unworthy Thread or discussion.
Oh and I guess that this question has been answered now, just wait for Scorps to close it and don't reply.

Not true. They delete it when it doesn't follow the rules.

On serious note People, closing threads in some sections happens for different reasons than in other sections. In this section for example, we (mainly I) close every thread that has been either checked and replied, or that has done its job. If the subject posted in the thread is already exausted, no need for it to be open only to get filled with spam. In some cases, threads are closed because they became flame fested or spammed or simply useless. We don't close it just because, we close it based on the rules. When the thread is too far gone to be salvagable then we close it. Simple as that. Now that his question has been answered, of course this thread will be closed ^^
