[Question] cant insert images in posts.

Hey guys, since i'm new to the base and all, I dont quite understand how to insert an image in my posts. This problem is bugging me since I started writing new threads. Every time I post an image I follow these steps- correct me if i'm wrong.
1. copy the image url
2. paste the image url in the [insert image link]

This worked out perfectly when I created my signature. But not in the posts. Please suggest me how to insert an image.

eg: this is what it looks like when i insert an image.

Images have to be: jpg, jpeg, png, gif

Maybe yours is some other format? Or really really massive.

Nah im sure that the image is .jpg and the size is perfect.
