It's undetectable to the victim, yes, but not another doujutsu wielder, as it's not magic. There's chakra involved, and it can be detected by another person who's not under its influence, given they have the perception.

A genjutsu is not undetectable by someone who can see the chakra flow or sense the chakra flow.

The trick of kotomatsukami is that the victim cannot tell they are under genjutsu and all of their experiences are flawlessly rewritten.

Ao fled once realizing Shisui was in the area during the TGNW, so if he did fight Shisui, he clearly got that ass whooped.

The Byakugan can see the chakra in the brain but cannot cast genjutsu, just because they can see the same things doesn't mean they have the same abilitis.

Find a scan that says the Byakugan can mimic one's movement, you can't. You're taking things out of context and creating faux facts.
