Cannon Episodes

Does anyone know what week or which episode the Naruto cannon episodes will return. I stopped watching after the Jiraiya Ninja Scrolls fillers, so I am confused about the Naruto anime. I heard it returns after the Itachi anime airs, is this true?

I believe it is true. Don't think cannon starts until later after the Burtoo manga launches. Don't qoute me on that though my memory is a little foggy xD

The way they're screwing around with the last few episodes, it would be better if they'd just animate it as a movie.

At least then the quality would be good.
