It's literally the same as eating any other animal. Do you eat meat? If you answered yes to that question, you would have no problem eating human if you didn't know it was human. It's like when you eat a chicken. You're eating another conscious being, regardless of if it is humans or not. It shows emotion, as any other animal would(Including humans).
If you can eat a chicken, you can eat a human. However, modern society demands punishment for those that cross this invisible line between being a human and being an animal.
In that situation, I would rather die than eat a friend. However if it were a random, I hope someone brought some barbecue sauce, cause we grillin' tonight.
