My favorite character is superman in his prime so yeah he can solo goku.
Itachi can defeat goku
outside of the narutoverse not many of my favorite characters can, except Batman with supermans powers, possibly Shanks(Conquers haki), lelouch(geass commands Goku to die), and god-Rand from Wheel of time, he apparently has the power to create entire universes and will things to not exist;

Itachi vs Goku, is a battle so widely disputed that this subject is nearly as present as Goku vs Superman. It is a classic fight between Brain vs Brawn. Itachi the master in the power of Hallucinations and mind control, and Goku the Mighty super saiyan warrior.
Dragonballz (the universe where Goku’s character originated) is to many the godfather of the HST (Holy Shoenen Trinity). This series has created a major impact on the culture inspiring many and encouraging people to follow their own dreams.
Naruto (the universe where Itachi’s character originated) one of the three members of the HST is another series that has become one of the most popular animes in all Japan
So this battle represents the godfather’s main character goku vs one of the offspring’s character Itachi easily making this a battle to see if the new has indeed surpassed the old.
Disclaimer before we examine the debate, if you are a wanker of either character like, “Goku is so strong his farts destroy galaxies, or ITachi is the next chuck Norris” Nothing I can say can affect your opinion on these characters and I understand that this review will not change your opinion of who will win in a debate.
But if you are neutral party, or if you are a fan of either character and if you would to see who would win and why, please enjoy this analyzation of these two amazing characters.
Let us begin in this dispute with a detailed look at each character and their own respective arsenal. I am only using cannon material (i.e. the manga, no anime is allowed in this discussion since the fanboys of the anime are the worst)
Goku is a powerful warrior that uses Ki defined as Latent energy that he uses at will to increase his strength, speed, and Stamina. He is truly a legend in all rights and regards. Even in the beginning of his series he has been shown to fight at such a speed that to the eyes of spectators he would appear to be invisible.
Goku is the epitome of strength which is one of the reasons why he has fanboys claiming he is millions of times faster than light, and his farts bust planets. Even though these claims are faulty we should examine the speed and strength that Goku has under his belt that we can use as fact.
In the past I attempted to utilize the Death battle scores for Goku, however since a lot of people reject death battle calculations(mainly because the people who conducted the death battle said in a interview that they amped up their calc’s for Goku so he could compete with superman). I would like to put forth the notion that I believe all of us recognize that Goku is much faster than Itachi even in his base form.
This is due to Goku’s growth as a fighter he became much more powerful as the series progressed. SSJ3 the last cannon entry for Goku can fodderize freiza with 0 effort. His base form as well must have progressed. Goku in SSJ2 managed to pull apart a mountain that buu slammed onto him.
In the end if one has read DBZ like me there are a lot of feats that makes Naruto’s feats look like Child’s play. For example Buu exhibited his strength in busting the earth with a blast so massive that the evil being fell asleep after unleashing so much energy. Another feat is Piccolo’s moon busting; in the beginning of the series Piccolo busted the earth’s moon. (How big the dbz moon is, is beyond me, seeing as how there was no affect on the planet is appears that moon is hundreds of times smaller than our moon, it’s still a feat nonetheless, for the speed and power of the blast)
Now for Itachi. Ninja’s move so fast that to the mere human eye they turn invisible. For example when Kakashi moved Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke couldn’t even see their master moving. Itachi once introduced in the manga was able to make motions that even kakashi who moved beyond the speed of the eye couldn’t even see Itachi’s hand movements. Itachi’s fastest RT was when he reacted to Sasuke’s Kirin, which according to zetsu was, “insert image here” which is lightning speed.
After this feat Itachi has several attacks that are very powerful the mighty Amertersu which flames burn “hotter than the sun” fact or extrapolation? The only thing we know is that the Amertersu casually burnt through lighting “insert image here” and it is a spiritual type of fire even eating through normal fire, “insert image here” Next is the Yata mirror a mirror that stops all physical attacks “insert image here” like Amertersu this can either be a fact or an extrapolation. We see it tanking the mountain busting Kirin,” insert image here” so we can place it at a mountain tanking level.
But ITachi’s most powerful attack that will certainly play a major factor in this fight is Genjutsu. Genjutsu works because
1. It grabs a hold of the chakra in the brain. narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/259/8 keep reading to page 9. Also
2. More specific as according to page 9 the cranial nerves. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cranial nerves the small nerve canals that channel what one will activate the five senses.
3. Itachi seizes the cranial nerves and thus casts his illusion into the mind of his victim.
4. Once inside the victim, can choose to stop his chakra again pg 9, to attempt to regain control of the chakra his opponent has and break free with a sudden surge.
However when this happens, narutobase.net/manga/Naruto/259/14 finish reading to the end of the chapter. It makes it kind of impossible to do.
^this is the basic rundown on genjutsu its power and weakness.
Now here is the thing with crossover battles. The two characters that meet are beings with different anatomy, universes, spiritual energy. For example DBZ calls its spiritual energy Ki, in Naruto its Chakra, in One piece its Haki, in bleach while you get the idea. From my experience as a debater most people allow certain attacks to work for example in the wheel of time(a popular book series)there is a powerful attack called balefire that when it is fired time/space/reality surges, and when it hits an opponent the opponents “thread” the wheel of times name for soul, but yet it is different from the souls for example like in bleach, because the threads go in and out of the wheel of time. Should the balefire work if it hit Ichigo(Bleach’s main hero) since he isn’t from the same verse? Probably not, but then the attack is useless in a crossover much like genjutsu would be on anyone out of the narutoverse.
For crossover battles it is decided whether or not the attacks should work or not. However in both naruto and dbz manga, chakra/ki is referred to as chi, “insert image here” so what can we say about this? Crossover battles have this as the rudimentary problem so right now you as the reader have a choice to continue reading saying that genjutsu may work on characters not inverse or say no and say that it is foolish to say something like that.
If you said yes I will continue to discuss the debate. Getting into some of the most important parts of the battle allow me to walk you through the early stages of the battle and the keys to the victory to either of the characters.
Now for this battle I will place both people fighting inside of the ring that Naruto fought neji inside the chuunin exams. Mainly because it creates the right amount of space for both opponents to move freely within the ring and enough room for either character to create their signature moves.
Alright now that we have the ring declared let us start by allocating the winning stratagems of this fight.
Alright there are several options for how the fight will go down from all over the internet.
The first one is, Goku will immediately take out itachi before ITachi can move or blink. While I do agree that would be the most likely thing to occur there are several things we have to remember. This is a normal match where both combatants are ready to fight and are in character. Does goku ever just hurl himself out of the gate murdering whatever he lays his eyes on?
The answer is simple
Its no! Don’t you guys remember the ginyu force? Or Frieza? Or Maijin buu? Goku would lower his strength to match his opponent or if they were so weak he wouldn’t even bother to hurt them unless they themselves persisted to fight goku. To say that Goku will just jump at Itachi and rip the Ninja to shreds at the sound of the whistle is majorly out of Goku’s character.
If any of you read the Dragonball manga you will remember this. Remember Goku’s character isn’t like that so this argument is off the table.
The next option is Mangekyo sharingan(MS), Itachi will activate (MS) and use Tsyukonimi. First off this isn’t likely. Itachi won’t use MS unless he absolutely has to. Remember using this technique will hurt itachi and worsen him down the road. Not to mention ITachi won’t open a fight with it so he will go with the normal sharingan.
This also includes using the totsuka blade and amertersu. Unless Itachi finds himself in a big threat he won’t feel threatened enough to use them, and by the time he wants to Goku will already have attacked and killed Itachi.
The final outcome and in my opinion would be the outcome if these two characters were ever to fight against eachother would be this.
1. Goku and Itachi face eachother
2. Itachi moves his hand/locks eyes with goku to place him in a genjutsu while Goku is wondering why the insect is challenging him
3. Itachi captures Goku inside the Genjutsu and makes Goku fall asleep
I know this might not make a lot of sense and don’t worry there is a lot of explanation behind the above scenario.
There are two arguments to the above that serve as the antitheses to the above statement.
The first is the simplest Goku will break out of the genjutsu! He is goku for crying out loud! And while I would agree with this I would have to disagree. Although are many good arguments such as, “Goku may be dumb as a bat in terms of books but when it comes to fighting he can work his way through anything” and I would agree if genjutsu doesn’t work against anything he is taught to do.
Goku is taught to keep fighting and using his ki. So he will keep spamming attacks at the itachi clones while Itachi continues to place him asleep. This brings me to a point I have addressed and will continue to address. People keep claiming that Goku will be able to move his physical body within the genjutsu or use his ki sense to determine where Itachi is. And all I have to say is this.
Zetsu clearly notes that Itachi and Sasuke hadn’t moved an inch while within the genjutsu, even though Sasuke was busy spamming many powerful jutsu and using his sharingan which works much like the ki sense, so Goku won’t be peering through any genjutsu’s
Now this includes SSJ1. Many people are like well if he goes into ssj1-ssj3 he can force Itachi’s mind to explode or break the genjutsu. However its exactly like the chidori. Sasuke wasn’t actually activating the chidori. Goku wouldn’t be going Ssj1 either, he will just think he will, that’s the magic of genjutsu. Its like in a dream. Lets say you are dreaming you are a t-rex, in real life are you a T-Rex? No! and that is like genjutsu. Goku will believe he will be turning ssj1, but in reality his body will just be normal, ki flowing normal, while his mind sleeps underneath the power of the genjutsu.
And remember how you break a genjutsu? You first need you are in a genjutsu, and then you need to stop your chakra flow, and then unleash it in a big burst. Goku will have to understand that he is in a genjutsu even though he hasn’t even heard of one and has never faced a magical attack. He will just think Itachi is a reality warper and continue to fight Itachi’s illusions. Which would get him nowhere remember the above quote just spamming your attacks will do nothing to break out of a genjutsu no matter how powerful you are.
So Goku won’t be breaking out of a genjutsu anytime soon.
Now for the biggest argument and one that a lot of people bring up to declare a victor between the two of them.
The argument is simple. Goku is simply to powerful to be placed within a genjutsu, since his power rivals everything in the narutoverse.
Now there is only one argument for this
It lies within the fundaments of ki energy. Goku’s ki may be universes ahead of the Narutoverse, but here is what you all have to understand is what Ki is.
Latent
Dormant
Ki is latent energy. It is energy that lies dormant(meaning inactive) within the body. For Goku to use ki attack he must activate the energy within him to use attacks. Itachi will only have to deal with the bare minimum of ki within Goku which isn’t much since the Ki hasn’t even been developed.
Let me explain. The energy is there, that is why on the scouters and with the ki sense, Vegeta, goku and others could pick up on the levels. However that energy isn’t being used. It is dormant or undeveloped energy. Akira toriyama never moved into detail with the workings of ki except for how to use it. Goku uses ki to enhance every part of his body to far beyond super human levels. And he does this by awakening and tapping into that source.
So when the battle begins Goku will have ot tap into that source to use his attacks. This also how he can have normal conversations in real life, because his ki abilities are negated. If his ki was developed his thoughts/actions would be faster than the speed of sound.
In any case Itachi won’t be facing the terrifying full powered base goku. Because will have ot keep drawing ki to power up to full powered base. He will start with goku at his weakest point with 0 ki developed. Because that is how using ki works in dbz.
That’s the difference. When modes such as Super Saiyan and Kio-ken and when Goku is collecting energy, he is awakening the Ki within his body for superpowered attacks. This is how he is able to contain all his energy and explode with “that extra burst” to quote piccolo.
So the battle will begin with all of Goku’s ki lying dormant, and as soon as the battle begins, Itachi’s Sharingan will awaken and with the mere twitch of Itachi’s hands Goku without that massive amount of ki around his body, he will be caught within a genjutsu.
Trapped within the genjutsu, and since Goku will not know anything about genjutsu, Itachi will command his opponent to fall asleep and Goku will fall asleep. In the real world the mighty warrior will fall asleep(literally sleep not dead) and Itachi will win.
So this is the answer Goku may have all this power but at the start of the match he will be holding and restricting his energy this he was against the Ginyu force/freiza And not molding the force he needs to win the fight.
So this is my reasoning for why Itachi can defeat Goku. Not because I think Goku is weak or that Itachi is the Solo King. But because I use my logic to define my answers and use the facts present. At a glance it is so obvious for anyone to think Goku>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Itachi, and they are 100% right. However they forget a lot when comparing the two. They think Goku will just blast ITachi off the map, while forgetting that is OOC for Goku, and that Itachi has the mind-domination skills to perform a number on the super saiyan.
Again I love both these guys and I am not biased towards either character, I used facts to come to my solution and I am fully aware that most of you don’t agree with this, but I am thankful you at least took the time to read it, and I hope you enjoyed it. Please do not flame me I am stating my opinion on how I read the text from both of these amazing series.

That’s the difference. When modes such as Super Saiyan and Kio-ken and when Goku is collecting energy, he is awakening the Ki within his body for superpowered attacks. This is how he is able to contain all his energy and explode with “that extra burst” to quote piccolo.
So the battle will begin with all of Goku’s ki lying dormant, and as soon as the battle begins, Itachi’s Sharingan will awaken and with the mere twitch of Itachi’s hands Goku without that massive amount of ki around his body, he will be caught within a genjutsu.
Trapped within the genjutsu, and since Goku will not know anything about genjutsu, Itachi will command his opponent to fall asleep and Goku will fall asleep. In the real world the mighty warrior will fall asleep(literally sleep not dead) and Itachi will win.
So this is the answer Goku may have all this power but at the start of the match he will be holding and restricting his energy this he was against the Ginyu force/freiza And not molding the force he needs to win the fight.
So this is my reasoning for why Itachi can defeat Goku. Not because I think Goku is weak or that Itachi is the Solo King. But because I use my logic to define my answers and use the facts present. At a glance it is so obvious for anyone to think Goku>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Itachi, and they are 100% right. However they forget a lot when comparing the two. They think Goku will just blast ITachi off the map, while forgetting that is OOC for Goku, and that Itachi has the mind-domination skills to perform a number on the super saiyan.
Again I love both these guys and I am not biased towards either character, I used facts to come to my solution and I am fully aware that most of you don’t agree with this, but I am thankful you at least took the time to read it, and I hope you enjoyed it. Please do not flame me I am stating my opinion on how I read the text from both of these amazing series.

1. We all other characters from different verses powers to work on others. Like Chakra/ki.
2. The battle is the place where naruto fought neji so nto to far and not to close
3. Goku won’t speedblitz itachi because that is OOC. Remember how he treated freiza
4. Genjutsu will affect goku because Goku wont’ know how to break it, and genjutsu goes against his fighting style

and even though he believes he will be powering up he will be frozen and his ki sense won’t work 5. Ki is latent energy meaning energy that you have to activate to use. When itachi captures goku in a genjutsu he won’t be attempting to manipulate the hundreds of juubi’s power inside of Goku it will just be the normal energy.
And this is why IMO Itachi defeats Goku.
