Ever since the internet came into our lives, it's become a part of who we are. It's given us alter egos, strength, knowledge and entertainment. Because of this, our personalities online are different to the ones in the real world, so do we lose ourselves?

No, we don't - The personality you exhibit online is the personality that is afraid to surface in the real world, because you're scared, intimidated of what people may think but behind a computer screen you don't have to worry about getting punched in the face for your smart ass comments.

However, although not everyone creates an alter ego online - a lot of people still have personalities manifest themselves through the internet, than the outside world.

We live in a world reliant on technology and of the internet that we do everything online now. We shop, study, socialise and even find love.

But without the internet, how will you be able to handle it? How would you go about your day to day activities?

Think that for 3 months, you are unable to use the internet. How will you react? What will you do?

I remember having my laptop taken from me by my mom for about 7 months. Those 7 months were hell. Especially as I was a gamer back then. About 3 yrs ago

Personally, I could survive without the internet on average through other means such as hanging with friends or playing video games, (without going online since there is no 'internet') and drawing. However, after a while, I will definitly want go come back on haha. We, as a society who now live in the age of technology, as well as have our lives run by elecricity itself, could not possibly last forever without it. Afterall, the internet is needed in stock markerts, work areas such as offices and such and without it, alot of people would go insane due to them not being able to do their jobs.

Imo, the internet plays a larger role in society than most think, and if anything were to happen in which we were to somehow have a power outage for more than 3 days, everyone would go insane. It shows how accustomed we have become as a society to electrical appliances and modern technology as a whole, and how our daily livley hood is run by it. Pretty interesting to say the least.

This new age of Internet Users make me LOL hard, the internet was never about mask, it was a converging point for all the people with similar interest to come together and share their points on games, tech, news, porn, w/e; then someone leaked how to create forums.

"Meems" were never a good thing, being a troll meant you were a ****.

I hope we as a society can live without the Internet, but we shouldn't have to nor should we be content with the current way the Webz are used.

Its like you own a house, and in your backyard you have an endless supply of Gold and Diamonds but are too lazy to go dig it up. :mad:_@::mad:_@::mad:_@::mad:_@:

I've heard that people contemplated thoughts of suicide, or at the very least became depressed over some rather simple matters. The internet being a place where people can share common interest, thus being themselves by actually letting it all out to people who wants to hear it, I wouldn't be surprised if people went crazy without it. I've seen a few threads here where members admitted to not having friends they can discuss anime with, even saying they would never let them know. This is just a small sample out of billions of internet users. People share and do things that they never would offline. It's a fact.

Can I survive? Yes.

Life without the internet is a strange and dangerous concept. I do not believe it could work but i have seen diagrams describing how it works:
