I completely disagree with the article (not the idea that previous roles of women holding the house and men working)
In no particular order
1. Women were discriminated, they were objects not people.
2. Society has been changing this taboo into acceptable, and both men and women are responsible of unstable relations instead of stable marriage.
3. Men and women are equal but different. Everyone is. This difference means that different roles for the mother and father are different in different families
4. It is a nice idea the mother holding the house and raising the children, but some families simply cannot afford the mother not to work
5. I don't think articles like that are helpful at all

This picture pretty much sums up the equality feminism seeks, not what that article suggests it is.

As for gender, yes, it is a social construct. Gender isn't ***, *** is biological, gender is what is expected of each *** in society. If gender wasn't a social construct, you wouldn't find so many differences between gender roles from society to society.

I'll finish the rest of the article later, gotta get moving, but those are my points for now.

I believe i was in danger of catching the stupid if i didn't close the window containing that "article"

It provided no insight.
All it did was state in a very horribly non subtle way that women should not have rights.
The "fabric" of marriage (A.K.A Some backwards red neck ideal submissive marriage is under attack by free thinking individuals.

Stopped reading once I saw "a woman's value was tied to her role as a wife-"
Which proceeds to explain why things would be better if that hadn't
been changing, is the thought of independent women really this startling?

People are different, true enough, but there's definitely, many ways a female
can earn money aside from brutes, in this day and time, where technology excels.
The thought of practically forcing women into conditions with men they don't like/love,
disturbs me, because the excuse is she can't properly raise her family without him...
But, isn't it partly his job, to ensure THEIR kid, grows well, regardless of if he's
still with her or not, this isn't all the woman's fault.
