Use the actual manga as your first reference. If you can't find anything, then yeah, go on Naruto Wiki

I wouldn't. It can be edited by anybody registered, including fanboys or haters.

The only official sources are manga scans and databook entries.

Yes, to some extent, but try using the manga more.

Nope, Anyone can make an account on Naruto Wiki and change information..so it can't be a trustworthy source.
manga pages, and maybe the most recent updated databook pages are the sources you should use for character data.

Nope, just use the manga. Anything that is not from the manga is false information anyway.

Besides, anyone can edit the wiki.

It is moderated like NB. They keep it clean so it is reliable

Yes, but don't rely completely upon it.

Your best bet is to use official Viz scans of the manga and databook pages to back up your comparisons. The Wiki is mainly suitable for summaries of a character's abilities or jutsu descriptions, but it's not great as evidence on its own. You can probably use it to find various manga pages or such that you can use instead.

I use it for debating simply because it says everything in detail not to mention tht I still do not know how to post pics in threads .-. I never understood how they do tht

I usually just take the info from narutowiki
Put it in " " and there's my proof I mean it tells of everything tht happens in the manga and its never stood me wrong

Circumstantial theorizing, yes. Actual proof... only manga and Databooks, and the databooks are open for discussion by some. e.g: Susanno requiring ama and tsuki...

Yes you can, but now the way you think. You see most of the info I've seen on naruto wikia (especially when it comes to abilities and back stories) have references. Just click the number over the information and it will link you to the specific manga entry you're looking for.

If the info does not have any reference try to avoid it, if it does then by all means use that as proof! XD

Yet NB rules are rarely followed. >_____________>
Besides...the manga and databook are written by Kishi.
Naruto Wiki is a secondary source, therefore it can be misleading.
but to some extent..yeah, it can be reliable.

I think you're better off using the manga as your source, like someone else said the wiki can be edited by fanboys and haters.

I use Naruto wikia because they have a list of manga references in case if I forget. For example, if I look up Obito Uchiha's abilties, they summarizes his powers or skills and use [Manga Page#] at the end as evidence. Then they use the section for manga page references.

In short, use the wikia pretty much only for finding pages or references if you forget.

I use it. However, there are some dumb things in there. Such as Hiruzen was recognized as the strongest hokage.:sy:
