[Question] Can we request a Username from an inactive user that's already taken?

Say I want the username Kakashi Hatake,
can I ask an Admin if I can have that name if the user of that account has been inactive for over a year?​

No, because it has happened that some users that has been inactive for equal amount of time gets back and cannot sign in because their username would then be gone.

what if they've been inactive longer than that and it's obvious they're not coming back?

kakashi doesn't have an alpha symbol in his name
and besides, that was just an example

Because it's never obvious. Same reason we don't let people taking over Rp related stuff from old Rp'rs that hasn't been active in years.

Banned members might be pardoned as well although that'd be debatable. I don't like the idea of "Stealing" others usernames at all.

i'm a bit iffy about banned members as well
but, can u reply to my suggestion that was never answered?

Can we have Achievements on NB?

some websites have Achievements (small badges) that you get notified for if you do certain things
for example,
- if u reach a certain rank you gain that rank as an Achievement
- if you post a thread and nobody posts for a few days, you could gain the "Lonely" Achievement
- if you get a hot thread for the first time, you can get the "Popular" Achievement
- if you get 5 hot threads you can get the "Hot" Achievement
- if you get 10 you get the "Famous" Achievement
- if you get a certain amount of likes, you can get the "Likable" Achievement
etc. etc.

and on some websites all Achievements have a set amount of points that you can get
they can show on your profile for people to see

i got this idea because lots of websites have an Achievement system, even PornHub has it

idk, maybe it'll make the website a bit more fun
mods and admins, whattya say? add achievements?​

I read that thread and i agreed think Awards cancels the concept out. But i will not discuss it in this thread.
