By default it will be turned on but you can turn it off if you want to.

If you are big enough to handle such words then you are big enough to handle absence of them as well. Please have some respect for the rules.

It's up to admins to decide this but it's just not the curse words that uses censoring so the idea of turning it off is not that likely to happen as far as I know. Giving such an option takes all the merit away.

Effective immediately, no special characters are allowed to be used in order to obscure any word.

just for the sake of others. You are basically saying well "lets just ignore this rule so others can be happy without following it" There wont be a option to remove the censor because you shouldn't be saying any words that are censored in the first place. And in most cases I have seen people bypass the censor to bash other people or be rude. Which is all against the rules. So this won't bring anything but trouble.

To me it seems like I made a very valid point, you had no counter or logical response to it so you just answered it cheaply with "The option isn't happening" answer.

Thank you dearly for the life lesson on what I should or should not do,however the problem I am having is that I do not think you are in any position to teach me about what I should or should not do, that statement is a merely of your opinion and should not be directed as an order. "You shouldn't" is you directing me while you probably know nothing about the psychological side of cursing,the history and it's great advantages. Just because you think something is wrong doesn't mean it's wrong so don't force it upon anyone else. Ou and before you try to say something smart like "just because you think something is right doesn't mean it's right" consider the fact that I said the default option should be as it is now, so anyone that think's it's wrong keeps the default options.

This was not a debate, I put out a suggestion and i think for the amount of MEMBERS that viewed it, it got quite a lot of support. If people find the idea good while considering any negatives, I think it should be implemented as at the end of the day the users are most important and if an add on can make them happier, why not?

Telling you something about the rules isn't remotely teaching you the history. The rules aren't going to bent for some physiological advantage you are saying.

My post was in no way a debate I was replying to your post. There is no debate for this thread. Whether it has supporters or not doesn't matter. It stills go against the rules which the admins are going to have to change for what?

The censorship of certain words are here to stay, simply because they would be exclusively used to bash and insult others, exactly what it's used for today by the people bypassing it. It also gets picked up by automoderation. And for you guys that wonder why a certain word is blocked while others aren't, that is because past abuses of the words, simply used for bad stuff enough for it to need censorship.
