they would change a lot, like in the morning it would say "Rise and shine!!"

or at night " You should get some sleep!!"

Apparently people complained about them and I remember reading that it cost a strain on the servers or something like that, since it has to change so much throughout the day for so many members.

That sucks, they were quite inspirational. The "welcome, " feels robotic and less inviting

I really agree there! Having this feature made the base a little more lively at-least. It was a nice feature, so I support getting them back.

I doubt if admins would add it back. That plug in was not working properly for everyone and there were too many complaints.
