[Suggestion] Can we ban group advertisement?

There have been at least twenty threads today saying "Join ThisBase". I think these threads should not be allowed. It can fall under self-promoting

Tbh, a lot of ppl are clearly using the "group invite threads" as a troll coverup. Let's cleanup the Base by making these threads against the rules

There is a part of the site for members to choose groups that interest them and an option to send group invitations, you don't need to spam Naruto Discussion with a million threads about joining this CharacterBase. It's unnecassary and is spam

I think self-promoting falls is situational in that it only counts when it is promoting something not related to the base.

I see no problems here. Annoyance isn't really a fair justification to stop something. The only way I would see it fair to stop someone because of annoyance is if they have received warnings beforehand.

In short, just use the report button. I don't think they're doing anything wrong

But isn't that section FanClubs? I understand that a FanClub IS a thread but groups are groups

The same ppl make more than one thread about their group. Repetition should at least not be allowed. As in, one thread when your group is initially created should be allowed but not regular interval advertisement

Well Fanclubs often have their own group linked to it as well, so they're a bit of the same. Take

for example (although the template is wrong, but anyways). My point is that group advertisements are already not allowed in the Naruto sections, as those sections are only for discussing the anime and manga, and reporting them will get them removed, so they're pretty much already banned from there.
