First of all there are specific locations you need to reach in order to learn the ability, it's not like they had a map to these areas.
Secondly it takes a strong individual to attain sage mode, an average fodder uchiha would never even know about it, let alone how to properly train in mastering it, & even without a teacher.

No. Uchihas will never have SM. They can handle the SM chakra given to them and wield it in battles but their bodies are too weak to support taking in Natural Energy and forming SM chakra themselves.

There are several of them. Uzumaki, the kinkaku and ginkaku brothers, juugo's clan etc.

They have THE EYEs. They do know a thing or two. There is no hard for them to find the place. But there is no need for such place if again they have THE EYEs to find out how to aquire it.
For some one like orochimaru, kabuto can find out that place is not really impossible.
A history is alway > anything else. If you have 0 feats or just failed attempt, you will be forgotten. So in the end no history = incapaclity.

Most likely not. Mangekyo is the equivalent of Sage Mode. Uchiha inherited the eyes of the sage and Senju inherited the body. Madara used Sage Mode, but it was a special circumstance (he had a Hashi boob and the Senjutsu gathered around the face of Hashi).
The Sage powerup granted Naruto Rikudo Sage Mode while granting Sasuke Dojutsu etc. it's not the Uchiha's cup of tea.
