Can tsukuyomi be tanked ?

I think someone with strong will may tank it or take much less damage then kakashi

beacause it only does psychological damage and then brain thinks that body is messed up

so i think naruto may tank it or take less damage beacause i see him as blockhead or more like its like talking to a wall when conforting him ( cant really explain why i see him like that :shrug: )

My it be something or im just overthinking it

You do know that kakashi asked why itachi did kill him, which could hint that if itachi did strain more or hit kakashi's vital points with the knifes in tsukuyomi he couldve killed him.

I really don't think anyone can tank it, but if I had to choose somebody I'd say Naruto stands the best chance.

I think so yes, only a few select people could keep on fighting though.
Tsukuyomi breaks down a person's will to fight. Seeing as it packs days of torture into a single second, it is a massive technique.

But, it has three weaknesses.
a. It can be broken by an uchiha with a sufficiently developed 3 tomoe. Ie Tobi,Sasuke, and Madara are off limits
b. Sasuke's version can be broken by a perfect jinchuuriki
c. The more days Itachi uses, the more chakra it consumes him. And seeing as he had to retreat from the battle when he used 3 days on Kakashi, and only 1 day on Sasuke because he was still recovering from the earlier Tsukkuyomi, this suggests that Itachi can't use Tsukuyomi for many days without killing himself. This might answer Kakashi's question, why didn't he kill me? the probablity is that he can't, not without severe risk to himself. Kisame pretty much summed that up right after, which Kakashi duly took note of and mentioned during their next fight.

Also, it's pretty clear that the stronger the willpower, the more they can tank Tsukuyomi. Sasuke went into a coma after 1 day, Kakashi remained conscious for a while after 3 days worth. And Kakashi has grown much stronger after the timeskip, so he can probably take 4-5 days with the same effect. I can't imagine how many days the likes of Jiraiya, Naruto,Kisame,A,Bee and Nagato could handle. They would be severely damaged, but I really doubt Itachi can pack in enough days to force them out of the battle without going blind or dying himself.

Genjutsu damages you mentally .. at that point in time kakashi wasnt on par with that jutsu, remember when he used it on oro , oro was talking and then moving his hands together to do a seal only thing itachi could have done was cut his arm off to prevent him from breaking the jutsu ( well not the only thing)

I think the one who could actually tank it is Hidan due to his religion which mostly involves self induced damage and pain. And by tanking i mean take the full effects of Tsukuiomi and survive and still be able to fight or at least maintain consciousness.

Nagato could tank it probably..don't know about his real body but since genjutsu is mental if it was cast on one of his paths like Ibiki (or w/e..) did to animal path..

Just sayin..I don't think Genjutsu would affect Nagato much..Jiraiya killed 3 paths with Sage Genjutsu but that Genjutsu was an instant kill where as Tsukuyomi is more torture based..

Hidan could also tank it because hes weird..he would laugh hysterically while Itachi stabbed him for 3 days, it would be more like an orgasm for Hidan

if you can tank a whole day of getting tortured and still have energy to talk then yep i think you can.............but the only person ive ever heard of doing that was Jesus

Hmm, I think maybe A and Bee are the best candidates to tank Tsukuyomi. Also perhaps Sasori as someone mentions, since he's techincally a puppet. And perhaps Guy when he's in his 7th gate form.

The strongest person who would probably not only tank, but destroy the technique completely is Vegeta. Not only would he not feel anything, he would release his own Chi to make Itachi piss his pants.
