The Tosuka blade seals something in an infinite genjutsu. Susanoo is just a physical manifestation of chakra (ninjutsu) unlocked by the Mangekyou Sharingan. This is like saying that it's possible for Totsuka to seal a jutsu. A jutsu can not be put into an infinite genjutsu because there is nothing to put under genjutsu...

P.S: Tailed Beasts can be sealed however, because they do have mental energy/a conscience (Yang Style).

There are religions that classify everything as having a soul. Even inanimate objects such as rocks. Based on the idea that the nature has chakra within it, and would mean that nature is in some sort of sense alive. I would be willing to argue that everything has a soul based off of that. And chakra could literally be the pure manifestation of a person's soul, meaning it could be absorbed as well. This is how Orochimaru is still alive even though he was sealed, He split his chakra and thus split his soul and was able to be revived from that.

That's my view on it at least.

here's an example:if seal water from a waterfall what will happen? more water would fall in it's place right? susanoo is a constantly flowing chakra so even if you cut or blast a part of it it'll regenerate.

I am not a religious person in any way, shape or form, but I know that Kishimoto involves a lot and I mean a lot of religious stories in his work. That's fine. I know kishi has used religous things in his work before which is why I brought it up. I'm not a religious person my self, however my argument involved logical explanations as to why all things could be considered to have a soul as from the information that the author has given us.

Also I see that you changed it to something instead of soul, which is fine I guess. Susanoo is definitely something, no matter how you look at it. But honestly it entirely relies on whether something has a soul or not I guess.

Anyways, my point is that it is a possibillity for the Totsuka blade to seal susanoo.

Basically this. Even if we assumed that it can indeed seal a Susano'o, it's safe to say the user can simply renew it afterward.

I think that any susanoo sword (especially totsuka) is to a susanoos body as what a normal sword is to a person. In other words, it can cut.
