Can Tobirama beat Pain?

What's so special about Tobirama? His pitiful water guns? His lack of any decent Jutsu bar FTG, that can be easily countered with reflexes? One techniques with Edos that requires him to commit suicide?

basically his FTG....i can see tobirama winning with FTG although having said that i dont believe there`s a high chance of that happening as he is fighting 6 paths at the same time

If he takes out Deva first yeah.

even if he does that naraka path can revive him when tobi is fighting other paths

it`s difficult to say how the fight would go like,everybody just makes it seem like tobi is going to fight one path at a time when there is going to be 6 of them attacking at once

If Tobirama just killed Deva how is Naraka getting close?
Preta Path gets blitzed, thus allowing Tobirama to spam large scale suiton, not allowing Naraka to move. Animal Path summons get shat on by explosive tag shenanigans, then blitzed. Pain isn't winning this.

you do realize you just paved your own scenario of the fight? what if it doesnt go that way? there are a lot of different ways the fight could go down

i admit tobirama has a chance of winning however i believe pain just has a bigger one

tobi destroys deva...animal path summons attack them as does asura path...while he`s dealing with them naraka revives deva...deva then proceeds to obliterate tobi with big shinra tensei or CT which can be done if tobi is distracted with fighting all those paths

there you go...a different scenario

it`s all just harder with deva alive

all things considered this really is a close fight

not to mention tobirama doesnt know path`s abilities which is an even bigger disadvantage on his behalf

Well I was assuming Full intel. & Yes there are a lot of factors with this match up. Considering the order of the paths etc.

Asura can be blitzed though regardless since SM Naruto did it. & Tobiramas shunshin is > SM Narutos

well,the question of the thread was:can tobirama beat pain? i can definitely see tobirama beating him

if tobirama had full info then he has a chance....however pain has info as well so his formation of paths would be covered accordingly i guess....hmm

in the end pain has a 6/10 majority in my opinion
