True, I doubt he is surviving a follow-up asa kujaku without the shroud though. Kisame got demolished and he is pretty durable as well (30% chakra clone shares the same body/durability).

I'm not sure if Gai can use such a strong taijutsu after Hirudora (he did use it after Asakujaku, but at that point he started with the weaker technique, Hirudora hurts him a lot to the point he can't do much for a while), but if its not stronger i don't think it would make any difference.

Actually, 30% stands for chakra, not durability. Either way, whatever Kisame tanks, Ay tanks with much more ease because he's much more resilient.
