Obito's Kaleidoscope Sharingan has a power that allows him to become invulnerable to attacks, as if he was a "ghost"; Kamui:

I was wondering if the Susanoo carried a similar ability.

The answer seems to be yes. In the Susanoo's case, it seems to be adjusting it's barrier to allow objects through it, rather than sending things to a different plane of existence. To some extent this is superior to Obito's Kamui, since parts of the Susanoo can remain tangible while others are intangible, and the user can still attack while protected by Susanoo.

While Obito's Kamui restricts his attacking potential. Although I suspect Susanoo cannot make the user themselves intangible, which could explain why they don't use this ability more often.

I guess the guy that wields "spirit weapons" can become a spirit himself.

It probably could, so that's why Kishi split Obito's powers in half because Obito's eyes were already OP.

Yata's mirror as well as Toksuka (shield and sword) are ethereal and have no physical form.

I suspect he is the only one whose Susano have such things.

Susano itself is none other than materialised chakra.

But it does seem like you can decide what goes through or not as you wish.... but its not ''ethereal'' in the sense that you can defense against attack in the same sense of what Obito does.

Someone attacking Susano will always hit Susano, only the user decides to let the attack through.... but this would put himself in danger as nobody but Obito can phase himself out.

If the attack goes through Susano,, it wont ''skip'' over the user... it will hit him.

All Susanoo weapons carry that trait. They are merely derived from the Susanoo, which makes them ocular powers rather than literal weapons.

That's exactly what I said.

Susanoo itself could pass through the attack, but the user would be vulnerable, since they don't have those powers. Thanks for reminding me.
