can the senju unlock the rinnegan?

allot of people seem to forget the senju came from the sage of the 6 paths and the rinnegan is in there blood as same with the uchiha they should be able to unlock it throw natural progression ? no matter how powerful you are you cant split your dna it should been dormant in all the senju and uzumaki

I agree, genetics doesnt work like that. on the flipsides. that bit about natural progression is a little fickle. because madara did have senju dna. he stole the body. I guess a senju can steal a mangekyo sharingan and then have natural progression. it is rather complicated( and con poluted) just go with it i guess

I've been arguing this for ages... Eitherway your point is valid. The Senjus should be able to achieve Rinnegan just the same way Uchihas can. If an Uchiha with EMS has access to Senju/Uzumaki DNA can progress to Rinnegan, then a Senju/Uzumaki should be able to do the same, granted he has access to an EMS.

Its clearly mentioned that elder brother had sage's eyes and chakra, young brother had sage's flesh and physical power. Your question about eyes being in body is logic, but does logic work in naruto? No. Also those are not ordinary eyes. :shrug:

THE other got ocular jutsu, and mental energy...

thats how the so6p split his genes...

Maybe if it said - The sage had two sons, one unlocked rinnegan the other didn't... then maybe yea we could assume that the other son could maybe unlock some hidden potential..

To get the rinnegan, the senju would need Uchiha dna, and vis-versa. Alone they will not get it since they are descended from the son who got the sages body, not his eyes. There are no ands if's or buts. You are either born with it, or born with senju or uchiha dna and aquired the others dna.
