Can The Nara clan fight in the dark? Or at night?

People forget that it also depends on the chakra of the other individual. Of he opposing person has MUCH stronger chakra and or willpower than the respective Nara clan such as say shikamaru then the Nara clan member will have little to know effect. For example, shikamaru and his clan's attempt at restraining the juubi. Albeit they had help from the nine tails chakra. If Sakura can exert a massive amount of chakra which noticeably she can if she can supply obito with that much chakra to open kumai to other dimensions a feat obito noted that for kaguya it was unbelievable that kaguya could use that much chakra to jump from place to place. Now before Sakura haters or Sakura fans start getting on that little piece, don't ignore manga facts and this does not mean Sakura has as much chakra as kaguya, far from it, she's just capable of supplying the necessary requirements. With this in mind Sakura could possibly over power the shadow.

It depends. Remember they need a light source to create shadows for them. They cannot manipulate the darkness. Recall the Sasuke Retrival Arc, when Shikamaru made Naruot and Kiba wait till morning to attack Tayuya and Sakon. There was a full moon but the moonlight didn't produce strong enough shadows for Shikamaru to use his jutsu.

basically dark is just the biggest shadow possible, there is no real way to defeat a Nara, augmenting the distance between you and them as much as you can and forcing them to stay under a light source is just a temporary measure.

you will never suppress your own shadow, sooner or later, they will catch it...somehow they are just like Hidan, you cannot kill him really...

the Nara clan would be freaking lethal with Shikamaru as their lead :snick:

Not only that but Sakura was the first person to work out Tobi/Obito's ability, was described by Kakashi as "the village's shrewdest child" and when Ino had to cheat in the chunin exam during the paper test she copied Sakura, not Shikamaru. Sakura>>>>>Hypamaru in terms of intelligence.

Agreed. There are several characters that have far better feats battle smarts wise. He's a walking hyperbole. In fact, I've never been impressed by his intellect/battle smarts at all.
