Can someone please explain Chakra rods to me

I don't really understand what they do, and how many it takes to immbolize you.

They disturb your own chakra so the person could control you. Just one of them stops you from moving, but a lot of them allows for the person to control your body.

Apparently they can remotely send chakra kind of like an electric signal to the other chakra receivers. If placed correctly they can block the flow of chakra (as shown with madara vs hashirama) or temporarily disrupt the enemy( As shown with kakashi vs pain)

Black rods are the same substance as black zetsu.

It controls however it pierces

And Madara specifically put his chakra/power through those rods inside Obito.

Giving Obito Madara's chakra.
