Ok so a friend of mine told me this sh*t :

A man borrows 25$ to someone and 25$ to someone else...
So totally he got 50$...
Then he bought a torch which costed 45$...
So now he has 5$ left...
After this he gives back to the people he borrowed 1$ each, so now he has 3$ left, and 48$ to give back to them...

So, now , 24$ + 24$ = 48$ in total , add 3$ that he has now = 51$ ...
Why did he get 1$ more :) ?

he didnt get anything more, he used up 47 of the 50 he got, 3 is left, that means had he given those 47 back to his frends it would split 23.5 + 23.5 but he didnt

he spent 45 on a car, gave 2 to his friends and now he ows them 48, he simply spent more than he can afford

No, he spent 45 on a torch. Must've been dark outside.

SERIOUSLY !!??

The man received $50, $25 from each. He bought a watch of $45,now he have $5 left. 45+5 = 50. He gave $1 dollar back to each. Means he have $3 and $45 to return,as he had already returned $2, 1 to each. Add 3 and 45,you get 48 = 24 + 24. There is no ****ing reason to add $3 to $48 when you have got $48 by adding $3 to $45.

he diden't suddent "gain" 1 extra dollar, just at first glance that just appears to be the case, after he uses the 45 dollars to buy the torch, and gives back 2 dollars to the people he borrowed he is left with 3 dollars (as you are quite aware) the problem here is that you are trying to take the "remaning money he owes" and add it to the money he have left after buying a "random iteam" at that point the money will no longer go back to the original "borrowed" amount.

for example if he had borrowed 20$ pr person instead of 25, he would be a 40$, and theb bought "iteam x" for 33$ and if he gave back 1$ to each of the people he had borrowed money from before he would be 5$, but 38$ (40-2) + 5 = 43, that doesen't mean that he earned 3$, it just showes that you cannot just add the remaining amount of money after buying "something" and expect those numbers to add up :)

When he bought the torch for 45 and gave back 1+1, it means he has 3+the torch that's worth 45. But he only owes 48 to those people now. 3 that is left +the torch that is 45=48
48+ 1+1 (the money he gave back)= 50
No extra gain here
