Can sharingan users control people in fights?

Can sharingan users control people in fights? We have seen Obito control Yagura and Kurama, Sasuke controlling Manda and suppressing kuramas chakra, Madara controlling Kurama, and someone said(i think Shikaku) that Itachi can control people from long distances. So can sharingan users control people in fights excluding Shisui and Danzo?

And about kurama. The tailed beasts are programmed to respond to the Sharingan. You know because of the Sage and his sons and stuff =D

Controling a bijju is also genjutsu,,,,,by considering Itachi's words , only top range users of genjutsu can control a bijju,,Itachi can't control kyubi may be shisui can control it..........
for now Obito & Madara are top genjutsu user's..............

Yes Itachi can control people & he is popular in all five great nations bcoz of that reason,,,,,but he can't control a bijju,,,,,,

Indeed. I believe Kakashi also controlled Zabuza during their battle as well. Zabuza believed that the Sharingan could see into the future which he attributed to Kakashi being able to defeat him. But he realized that Kakashi was controlling him during their first encounter. In essence it's not a question of whether or not the Sharingan can control an opponents - because it has been established that it can - rather it is a question of to what extent it can be done.
