I made a theory about this a couple of months ago about this.

now that we have a little more evidence is it possible:shrug:

I dont think they can be released.
But i think its dependant on the seal. Some seals can be undone like oro's Gogyo Fuin which was undone by jiraiya's Gogyo Kaiin. Or oro's curse seal which was undone by itachi's totsuka sword.

Whislt these sealing methods differs from the one to used to seal souls, i believe there could be a technique to unseal an edo who has been sealed. With the exception of the Shiki Fujin. In this case its stated that the users souls along with the soul of the person that its been used against are trapped in the death god's stomach for all eternity.

I understand how the all 4 previous hokgaes can never be summoned or released from the death god's belly because the death good binds their souls.

But, can Kabuto's sealed edos be released since the seals that were used to bind them appeared to be body binding seals and not soul binding?
