Can Sasuke's rinnegan/sharingan deactivate?

Is Sasuke's new eye always active or can he turn it off where you can see his regular eyes? Also could the rinnegan in general be turned off, or is it their permanent eye.

I was thinking the samething. I think only the sharingan has been shown to deactivate.

I am not sure about the Rinnegan since I don't recall seing Pain or Nagato's real eye.

When Madara was an Edo, he was seen switching between Sharingan and Rinnegan... so he can probably turn it off.

If madara was shown to be able to go from regular sharingan to EMS to rinnegan in battle, then I would assume that sasuke should be able to do the same. I think nagato couldnt do it cus they werent his eyes...he was just a perfect container/vessel(uzumaki) to use the rinnegan but wasnt an uchiha so he couldnt control all the phases of the eye. Madara and sasuke shouldnt have that problem switching between sharingan and rinnegan.
