Character like Sasuke is fit as mystery antique. He lost his spot the moment he left the village. We dont get to see his growth during these years but only the cockiness result which left nothin behind when he left his friends again.
The author could have drawn a moment before his second departure like "sorry but i choose this path" in his eyes/thought...
All we can see is just a bland character that has no thought of his action and his action is just based on whatever it goes...

Kishi tried to save him (his character) in the end by letting all out... but is it too late ???

Remember Kishi may imposed His conditions,sines He owns Naruto. He might insisted that Sasuke only have *** with Orochimaru and only poke Sakura’s forehead. Kishi might insisted that it be a comedy and that Sasuke is the joke. After all Kishi dose like to nerf Sasuke to prove that Sasuke superior routines are nothing but hot air.

I'd be pretty interested in a movie about Sasuke. People here are mentioning the problem at had being Sasuke doesn't talk much and would likely need an interesting character whom talks a lot. My suggestion would be to have Boruto travel with Sasuke. Makes sense too considering he's teaching him and he'll talk a lot and it's small dialogue would carry over to the important scenes of the movie where Sasuke can let loose.

There's too much in Sasuke's head. If you wanted Sasuke to come at you in full Kishimoto would have to write a light novel.

If you ask me, Naruto is the minor character... And is genderbent, probably the main love interest too. But since it's manga, there isn't too much to think about. Naruto is pretty much undefeatable, get stronger by learning something new, much like other shounen manga main protagonist.

Which was why Naruto is perfect for shounen jump. Sasuke is better off in a novel. Or a twenty four to twenty six episode teen anime of angst, comedy, action and adventure, and name the series Sasuke.

If you don't know, Shounen jump is the world where imagination trumps all. Mystery, angst, drama and long monologues don't fit in with young males because it sounds like an old man rambling, but with the older generation remembering Naruto it should be good business for Kishimoto. Drama is not a very popular genre with kids.
