If her cognitive functions are out of the picture because her head is chopped how the hell will she heal ? I'm not getting it. The rasenshuriken is a jutsu that cuts in half and according to the OP the jutsu would be straight to the face.

Tsunades regenration doesn't directly target cells, the chakra she releases stimulates protiens which in turn create new cells. Meaning that there doesn't need to be cells present in order for them to be recreated, there has to be protiens.

Step 1 = release chakra

Step 2 = chakra stimulates protiens

Step 3 = protiens turn into cells
