Every situation Sakura has been in the following happens

1) underestimated so no one bothers to take her serious (kaguya and madara)

2) Chiyo puppet strings did the fighting for her.

Basically im curious... At which point did Sakura become combat effective on her own?

In every combat scenario where she was successful in producing a desired or intended result. For example, every opponent she's ever punched; said instances were combat scenario's where she was being effective.

How can people ask this? Chiyo puppets did the fighting for her? Did you miss all the puppets she smashed while Chiyo was busy controlling her 10 puppets (1 finger each)? Or the part where she smashes the iron sand? Without Sakura both Gaara, Chiyo and Kankuro would be dead. And that's just in one arc. Chiyo even admitted that her puppets didn't have the strength to deal with Sasori.
She survived getting stabbed by SO6P with his staff.
She fucking tanked bijuu damas in her novels from a pseudo 9 tails.

She became "Combat effective" technically when she accomplished the ability to break the medical ninja rules laid out by Tsunade; which is allowed only once the medical ninja has perfected the byakugo seal and is able to enter combat without dying.

I know Sakura seems weak compared to Naruto and Sasuke, but she is actually extremely strong. Imagine her in the chunin exams now. She would solo everyone (Which isn't saying much, but it shows her real growth over the series.)

I just wanna say... I LOVED SAKURA IN EARLY SHIPPUDEN!

She was amazing and useful and got some actual development. It's a shame once she saw Sasuke again all that potential flew out the window.

Scans?

she's an amazing medical shinobi but im looking for combat specifics.

That was a pretty effortless solo.
Not until I see the scans.

Realistically speaking in the terms of the Naruto universe, there's no way for her to win any fight against a skilled shinobi. Her attacks are far too slow to be effective. She'd be on the defensive the entire time and the only way for her to win is to summon Katsuyu.

It's a shame Kishimoto never had her learn any ninjutsu. She'd be bested by child VOTE Sasuke

Lmao terrible.

Every ninja has a skill in actuality so your point moot, it’s like saying Sakura can’t beat anyone that has to unzip their pants too piss. What you should’ve said that she can’t beat shinobi who have certain skills or stronger skills then her own.

Sakura's character isn't as poorly optimized as it may first appear. Healing in Naruto requires physical proximity. The people in Naruto most likely to need healing are those who are up front, taking the beatings.

The ideal healer in Naruto would get in, survive hits, be able to counter hard (protect), and get the healing done. While she can be combat effective on her own, I would argue that the situations it's advisable to do so are niche. If you are relying on Sakura to do the actual fighting, errors have been made.

I don't see Sakura's combat effectiveness a function of her sole character, but as a multiplier on the functions of her team.
