Can Rinnegan See Through Visual Genjutsu, like Sharingan?

I don't think it can. Sharingan can distinguish chakra as colors. Pain has already failed to notice Jiraiya hiding on a wall with toad subjugation, and simply ran past him. The Sharingan would've seen Jiraiya. The Rinnegan simply grants the user a set of OP abilities, but it does not have the same features of the Sharingan....what do you guys think?

If he had EMS or below, he would have been raped by the jutsu, so Rinnengan does give greater perceptional genjutsu ability than Sharingan. Sound genjutsu is dojutsu weakness however because eyes can't see sound to counter them. It's for that reason Itachi himself fell for it against Kabuto

I don't know but the Rinnegan can see hidden barriers but we never saw a rinnegan user see chakra color like Sharingan does.

Sharingan = Seeing through mist, clouds. Predicting movement, copying jutsu.
Rinnegan = Seeing the chakra in the body and the chakra gates (able to tell if its a clone). Granting the ability to learn all 5 elements.

Rinnegan also protects against IT however it isn't known if it protects against regular genjutsu and if it does that better/worse than the Sharingan.

The sharingan simply gives chakra color. They need to see chakra in order to give it color. If I hide behind a door, the sharingan won't be able to see my chakra.

That's different isn't it. That was due to Susano that blocked the light lol. I'm saying for example if Madara or Itachi place Nagato in a Genjutsu, will he immediately recognize it as a Genjutsu because of the Rinnegan acting like a Sharingan?

It was the rinnegan that gave that power to the susano. Again if you count that as a feat then yes but other than that the rinnegan has no feat of stopping genjustus.

Yes he would have been. Which is why Obito and Madara wanted him to revive Madara so Madara would be back and Nagato dead.
