Can preta absorb earth & wood style jutsu? or is it only limited to absorbing non physical elements? :erm:

That's because the Wood Style suppressed his chakra, which left him unable to initiate Preta's absorption. If Madara had Preta active before hand and used it on the Dragon, it would have been absorbed.

OT: If the earth was pre-existing, then no. If it was created by the person, then yes. Wood Style can be absorbed.
