I'm currently watching the Slayers. The anime follows the adventures of teenage sorceress Lina ( a sorceress ) and her companions as they journey through their world. Using powerful magic and swordsmanship they battle overreaching wizards, demons seeking to destroy the world, and an occasional hapless gang of bandits. This anime is easily the gem of the 90's if you are asking me.

You should give it a try, you won't regret it.
