[Spoilers] Can path eyes be taken?

So I was thinking, There are a lot of lightweight ninjas doing nothing but sucking in the whole "war" thing. What if they went to the leaf village and dug around for the bodies of the old pains and took their eyes? I don't believe it is possible, but I am sometimes dumb. (I already know that each eye would only have one path jutsu)

If I recall correctly, the eyes of each Path are simply reflections of the user's Rinnegan. They aren't actual Rinnegan eyes so once they're removed from the body, I'd guess they revert back to their former appearance.

I don't think that they are real eyes lol. I think that the bodies had Rinnegan because of the Chakra receivers that were stuck in their bodies.

No, those eyes are basically fake, the Rinnegan Techniques only work because of the Black rods.
