One can cancel his edo tensei, yes I agree, but Hashi already broke his edo tensei, so he can't send Hashi back to the pure world, without killing him.
About other hokages it is possible.U_U

Hashi would happily let the edo tensei be released if he know that He will be revived again with new chakra and new body. Orochimaru can communicate from his edo zombies. =D
