This isn't even true. Mitsuki and Co. are making a deal of Orochimaru's gender. Orochimaru doesn't care about gender rules. Izanami wouldn't work.

Everything stated in this thread is correct EDIT: Excluding Momosaka's of course.. Orochimaru is only going to win if we give him, whether in his capabilities or not, fanfic abilities. Everything hints towards Orochimaru retiring his fighting career & just watching everyone else, so I don't think he's modified himself anymore beyond immortality & regeneration.

Genjutsu GG. Orochimaru could not overcome basic genjutsu from Itachi & even Hebi Sasuke could inflict genjutsu onto him despite Tobi considering Sasuke's superior MS genjutsu on Danzo a far cry from Itachi's own.

Not true at all, he was tinkering around with a lot of things but Shin did neg both Naruto and Sasuke.

Orochimaru’s genjutsu counter are Edo fighters with mangekyou sharingan like Kabuto crafted for Obito’s Edo Jinchuriki. Mangekyou comes into play because the Shin clones all have it.
He can make synthetic sharingan, technically he literally implant them into his own head also. Boom, instant genjutsu immunity & he’d be able to use Izanagi and Izanami.
