well danzo had the saem thing in a sence he had his arm and some of his body with hashi cells and he could use wood release but upon using it made his cells become unstable and out of control obito has much better control of his cells so id say he can

If you look under the bed behind him you can see a branch is broken off. I believe he is practicing his balance.
