Can neji surpass Gai and Kakashi?

Is Hiashi considered stronger than Kakashi and Guy? If he is then their is hope for Neji, if not then I'd say no. Hiashi is the pinnacle of strength among the Hyuga so at best along his current path Neji won't get much stronger. Now if Neji learned some long range jusu it would make a big difference in his overall strength.

I think he can simply because all of the younger generation has the potential to surpass the older. Naruto/Sasuke/Gaara have and I cannot see why not Neji. He is a genius, his father stated that with his talent, he could surpass all other members of their clan, through observation he was able to learn the clan's secret techniques and the first of the former Konoha 11 to achieve Jounin and a fantastic leader. The thing is that Kishimoto-sensei decided to develop Sasuke and Naruto rather than all of the former Konoha 11 thus the skilled and talented Neji has been placed on the back burner.​

Neji is a genius of geniuses. Kakashi may have made much faster progress as a child (Graduated at 5, Chuunin at 6, and Jounin at 13 give or take), but in the long run I don't see it as impossible for Neji to surpass him.

He needs to train some more but he does have the potential
