Actually Edo Madara reawakened Rinnengan when he was summoned. U can't deactivate rinnegan so the only reason for him awakening the rinnegan as an ET would be thanks to Hashirama's DNA.. Also, all of Ashura's descendants have some of Ashura's power just not the exact thing so Hashi's cells should work fine to create rinnegan
