Hello everyone,

I've been wondering about this for a while and I am curious to see what you all think. If Nagato fought an edo, could he permanently remove their soul from their body, ultimately destroying it? The Human Path, the Naraka Path, and the Dragon Nine Seals Techniques all involve removing souls in different ways, so I feel like Nagato could actually do it.

of course. all edo's still have souls as they require sacrifices and a host. nagato can remove the soul, just like dan used his soul jutsu to go and see tsunade.

In theory, yes. Which means Madara could've killed Hashirama if he wanted to but decided not to. Madara and Nagato can kill Edo Tenseis.

"The Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation is a forbidden technique where, using a living person as a vessel, a deceased person's soul can be called back to the world of the living and bound to it."

I figured as much. There was a thread that I was reading earlier where a guy said that Nagato had no sealing techs vs edos and that would ultimately be his downfall when fighting them. I figured he was wrong but I wanted to double check. XD

I was thinking the same thing too. It seems like plot has really been preventing this from happening. Kabuto could have made Nagato do this to Itachi and Madara could have done it to everyone lol.

Madara hasn't shown the Human Path techs so no, until feats say otherwise.

By logic Madara should have access to all Rinnegan techniques since he gave all knowledge of how they work to Obito.

The fact that Madara has displayed such masterful knowledge and skill concerning the Rinnegan I think it's silly to say he doesn't know how to use it, an opportunity to use it hasn't come up and he's shown better Rinnegan attacks beyond Nagato's skill level. It's the selling point of one of the actual paths so it just seems strange he wouldn't know it.

Theoretically yes.

Logically no. For some reason I don't think it works that way. Kabuto knew about the mechanics of Edo Tensei and knew about all of Nagato's Rinnegan abilities that he had previously showcased, minus the fact that he was a sensor. He would have made him suck out Itachi's soul if it were possible. Madara is in possession of the rinnegan and his usage of it far surpasses Nagato's. He would have done it with Hashirama if that were the case. It most likely has some limits.

"the jutsu of the six paths".

GG thread. Honestly, they're Madara's eyes and he's displayed jutsu knowledge above anyone shown in the manga. not to mention theyre his eyes and if hes able to use rinnegan techs which even nagato couldnt use (limbo henkgoku and that body freezing tech) then what makes u think he cannot use human path? to put icing on the cake

obito says he can use human path. obito was a noob with the rinnegan but like i showed above who taught obito? madara. therefore madara can use it.

Well Hiruzen did the same thing, yet he's at the bottom of the top 20 list.
